PERFORMANCE

MAST.AUDITORIUM

THE SLIDERS

Lorenzo Manfredini trombone
Federico Pierantoni trombone
Filippo Vignato trombone

An unusual trio of only trombones challenges the canonical instrumental combinations, creating a transfigured sound effect, suspended between a musical discourse reduced to the bone and the rich expressive and effettistic possibilities of the brass instrument.
The three Sliders are curious experimenters who also draw on the fundamental languages of blues and folk, venture into the territories of contemporary music and can also perform a chorale. The Sliders is a miniaturised orchestra, as shiny as the metal alloy of the instruments, that plays the card of surprise and, unusually, also that of divertissement.
