Celebrities as Karl Lagerfeld and Catherine Deneuve recount their experience with one of the greatest photographer of the 21th century in a documentary that finally represents a rare cultural snapshot of Hollywood and the fashion industry circa the late 1980s.

Avedon, who began his career photographing show business personalities, but later moved on to recording ordinary people and political events, left an indelible imprint on every facet of fashion and advertising photography, and helped elevate these fields to the realm of art in the process. The documentary follows the artist on set and presents interviews with the subjects of his portraits.
