“Corporate Photography: Secrecy and Communication in the Representation of Work”

Glossy brochures, annual reports, corporate coffee table books: companies use photography for communicate their activities, promote their public profile, and keep control of their image, literally and metaphorically. How can the photographer balance the company needs of secrecy and communication and the free expression of their own talent? François Hébel explores this topic with Carlo Valsecchi, the author of an important project for Philip Morris and protagonist of Foto/Industria exhibition Developing the Future, Mårten Lange, who developed numerous corporate commissions and presents his work in the exhibition Machina & Mechanism, and Mark Power, a member or Magnum Photos, who took part in Foto/Industria 2013. The round table will be preceded by a projection of Mark Power’s latest corporate projects.
